Welcome to the blog! This is long loooong overdue but I am so glad you joined me here today. 

If you are new here, I am Cat (short for Catriona) – owner & photographer of Pink Fox Photography. Pink Fox Photography came about when my love of capturing the moment collided with a beautiful pink Pentax DSLR camera that my husband gifted me one year for my birthday. I used that camera until it was past the point of no return. I still have it to this day to remind me of where I officially started. It’s so funny – people always used to make fun of me for taking so many pictures; now when I show up at any kind of gathering, the first thing people ask is “did you bring your camera?”.

In addition to being a photographer & everything that come with owning a business, I am a mother to a handsome toddler prince named Oliver & wife to my hero, Jon. I am a British expat, specifically from Scotland & I love to celebrate & incorporate my couples’ cultures in their photo sessions or wedding photographs as I know how it feels to be proud of & want to celebrate my own.

A perk to being an expat living in America, is that my passport is always at the ready & I am a confident traveler if you are looking for a photographer to document your elopement in the city, the mountains or a wonderful faraway land. I can bustle dresses, fetch bobby pins & a master tie expert should you need it. Much of my photography experience has been split between weddings & equestrian events (barrel racing, rodeo, show jumping, western & English pleasure shows, stallion ads etc). Both these niches require fast thinking & willingness to easily adapt & of those, I have become a master.

Here are some fun & candid facts about me:

• When I see the clock at 11:11, I always make a wish.

• Favourite food? I don’t have one but I’ll try anything. I will never turn down afternoon tea & I can also make a cheesecake to rival all cheesecakes – my secret ingredients?

• Born & raised in Edinburgh, Scotland, I moved to the US as a teenager. I’ve lost my accent (unintentionally) but it comes back as soon as I step foot on British soil.

• John Malkovich & I would be great friends if we ever had the chance to meet. I just know it!

• Travelling is a passion of mine & New Zealand is probably my number one bucket list place to go. I can’t wait to check it off my list – elopement to NZ anyone?
